PREFA
ROOF Shingle
PREFA roof shingles are the all-rounder on the roof and are suitable for both modern and classic roof structures.
The small-format, particularly lightweight aluminium roof shingle shows its special strengths both on the smallest surfaces as well as in large projects. It allows for optimum realisations not only of straightforward new roofing, but also of complex renovation projects.

AS THOUGH TAILOR-MADE FOR EACH PROJECT
PREFA roof shingles are easy to work with. Many curved shapes, such ascurved dormers (bat dormers, ox-eye dormers, pike dormers, etc.), can also be covered with the adaptable shingle. It also adapts to unevenness in the existing substructure to a certain extent, as is the case, for example, with the 400-year-old Wiesenhaus and its old roof truss:

STILL GOT QUESTIONS ABOUT PREFA Shingle?
It would be too easy if we could offer you a total price here and now or tell you that a roof tile or façade shingle costs such and such. But unfortunately, it’s not that easy. That’s because every PREFA roof or façade needs to be carefully budgeted by one of our master roofers.
The breakdown of metals due to chemical or electrochemical reactions with their surrounding environment is called metal corrosion. The most well-known form of corrosion is the rusting of iron. Aluminium materials are largely corrosion-resistant and rust-proof!
Thanks to their light weight, PREFA roof tiles, shingles and rhomboid roof tiles, FX.12 roof panels are ideal for covering existing old roofs.
Small hail stones cannot damage a PREFA roof with a stucco surface. In the case of extremely large hail stones, as with all roofing materials, functional damage cannot be excluded. However, even in an extreme hail storm, the piercing of a PREFA roof can almost certainly be ruled out.
For both new buildings and renovations of old roofs, the roof substructure must be checked for a properly installed PREFA roof. In doing so, attention must also be paid to the minimum roof pitches of the respective products.
